GreenXchange Limited is a privately held company based in Nelson, New Zealand, with a commitment to furthering the growth over time of intellectual property for NZ Inc, and to the establishment of a fund for the purposes of social good through entrepreneurial endeavour.

Our Mission Statement

To establish an internationally recognised NZ business cluster and provide support for new start-up companies working in the areas of primary sector value add, low carbon technologies, environmental disciplines, sustainability and co-operative enterprise.

Background

The greenXchange
believes that New Zealand needs to make smart investments in envirotech businesses and low carbon technology (LCT) innovation by accelerating the move towards greater technology prioritisation and away from explicit technology neutrality. We also believe that a green economy presents significant opportunities to create economic benefit for NZ and reduce carbon emissions.

However in a resource constrained environment, large-scale, short-term costs and longer-term and uncertain economic benefits mean that NZ can only have a global impact in a limited number of LCTs, but within this broad scope of opportunity that we believe that New Zealand can create an innovation bubble, ensuring a growth in intellectual property for NZ Inc., and adding to export growth and employment opportunities, both within NZ and internationally.

We believe that New Zealand needs to make smart investments in low carbon technology innovation (LCT) by accelerating the move towards greater technology prioritisation and away from explicit technology neutrality.

We also believe that a green economy presents significant opportunities to create economic benefit for NZ and reduce carbon emissions.

New Zealand's imperative move towards a low-carbon economy will provide small and medium-sized companies with new business opportunities. Larger countries have already begun to adapt to this new economy, and the global market for climate-change related products and services is already estimated at over $530 billion each year*, larger than the western defence and aerospace industries combined.ess Insider, US)
To ensure NZ based companies and organisations are in a position to take maximum advantage, the greenXchange will create 'envirotech' and LCT investment opportunities, and will partner internationally with organisations to create synergistic collaborations.

Our approach
